Service Description
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A THREE-SESSION COURSE -- PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP ON THE FIRST SESSION. You will be added to all 3 sessions. This class takes place on MONDAYS, December 2nd, 9th, and 16th, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. OVERVIEW: Get acquainted with your machine or a machine provided at our studio. Two small projects will be completed during this course. AGE MINIMUM: 16 years PRICE INCLUDES: Use of Birch sewing machine (or bring your own) and all materials for small first project; second project will be discussed during the first session. SAFETY: Long hair should be tied back. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Students are advised NOT to wear - shirts that have loose sleeves - necklaces, bracelets or scarves PREREQUISITES: No experience or prerequisites required. STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: May bring your own sewing machine if you prefer. One yard of cotton fabric will be required for the second course project – those requirements will be discussed in the first session, prior to when it will be needed.

PAYMENT POLICY: - Payment is due in full at the time of booking to guarantee your spot in any class. - Be sure to check the class description for any requirements, such as minimum age, prerequisites, and/or supplies that you need to bring with you to class. - Sign-ups close one calendar day prior to class to allow for instructor preparations, possible cancellation, etc. CANCELLATION/RE-SCHEDULE POLICY: - If a student cancels, Birch must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the class in order to give a full refund. If less than 24 hours, 50% will be refunded. If a student has an emergency cancellation and Birch is informed ASAP prior to class, student will receive a full credit towards a future class if some proof can be provided. - If the class is cancelled due to not enough sign-ups or an instructor emergency, students will be advised by phone or text ASAP, and all will receive a full refund. - No-call, no-shows for classes will not receive a refund OR credit. MISSING A SESSION OF A MULTI-SESSION CLASS: - If a class takes place over 2 or more sessions, it can be difficult to keep up with your project if you miss a session. Reach out to your instructor to see if there is an opportunity to join another class for the missed part, or if you can get assistance at an “Open Studio” time.
