Service Description

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 4-session course; ONLY SIGN-UP FOR THIS COURSE UNDER THE 1st SESSION. You will be added to all four sessions. OVERVIEW: Through theory and practice, both novice and seasoned poets shall utilize instruction to elevate their written words to a higher level. Students are given a choice of whether they wish to have their work privately critiqued by the instructor; but all are encouraged to share their efforts. An environment of respect, and positive, constructive suggestions is mandated. A four-session class -- sessions will take place on Wednesdays: June 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. AGE MINIMUM: 18 years STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: Pens, pencils, a notebook, or laptop computer. Basically, anything to write with.

PAYMENT POLICY: - Payment is due in full at the time of booking to guarantee your spot in any class. - Be sure to check the class description for any requirements, such as minimum age, prerequisites, and/or supplies that you need to bring with you to class. - Sign-ups close one calendar day prior to class to allow for instructor preparations, possible cancellation, etc. CANCELLATION/RE-SCHEDULE POLICY: - If a student cancels, Birch must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the class in order to give a full refund. If less than 24 hours, 50% will be refunded. If a student has an emergency cancellation and Birch is informed ASAP prior to class, student will receive a full credit towards a future class if some proof can be provided. - If the class is cancelled due to not enough sign-ups or an instructor emergency, students will be advised by phone or text ASAP, and all will receive a full refund. - No-call, no-shows for classes will not receive a refund OR credit. MISSING A SESSION OF A MULTI-SESSION CLASS: - If a class takes place over 2 or more sessions, it can be difficult to keep up with your project if you miss a session. Reach out to your instructor to see if there is an opportunity to join another class for the missed part, or if you can get assistance at an “Open Studio” time.
