Intermed Kumihimo - Half-Round Braid

Service Description
OVERVIEW: For students who have some experience with Kumihimo braiding. Learn a new 8-warp structure -- the Half-Round Braid (Japanese name: Kara Yatsu) is a mostly flat braid with a whole different look than the original round, 8-warp braid. One 3-hour session. AGE MINIMUM: 16 years PRICE INCLUDES: - Satin cords (choice of any three of various colors), and bracelet findings (choice of clasp, endcaps, etc.) enough to make one bracelet during class - Information handouts to help you explore this hobby further - Other supplies necessary to complete bracelet PREREQUISITES: Either my 'Intro to Kumihimo' class or existing experience with basic Kumihimo braiding SAFETY: This is a pretty safe hobby to get involved in. No clothing/shoe restrictions, just come comfortable! STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: A round foam Kumihimo disk, 8 plastic mini bobbins, a counterweight, and a tape measure (Extras will be available to borrow or purchase)

PAYMENT POLICY: - Payment is due in full at the time of booking to guarantee your spot in any class. - Be sure to check the class description for any requirements, such as minimum age, prerequisites, and/or supplies that you need to bring with you to class. - Sign-ups close one calendar day prior to class to allow for instructor preparations, possible cancellation, etc. CANCELLATION/RE-SCHEDULE POLICY: - If a student cancels, Birch must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the class in order to give a full refund. If less than 24 hours, 50% will be refunded. If a student has an emergency cancellation and Birch is informed ASAP prior to class, student will receive a full credit towards a future class if some proof can be provided. - If the class is cancelled due to not enough sign-ups or an instructor emergency, students will be advised by phone or text ASAP, and all will receive a full refund. - No-call, no-shows for classes will not receive a refund OR credit. MISSING A SESSION OF A MULTI-SESSION CLASS: - If a class takes place over 2 or more sessions, it can be difficult to keep up with your project if you miss a session. Reach out to your instructor to see if there is an opportunity to join another class for the missed part, or if you can get assistance at an “Open Studio” time.
