PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A THREE-SESSION CLASS; ONLY SIGN UP HERE FOR THE FULL COURSE! You will be added to all three sessions. Sessions are: TUESDAY, January 14th, 5 - 8 pm; THURSDAY, January 16th, 5 - 8 pm; and SATURDAY, January 18th, 9 am - Noon. OVERVIEW: Keep your best friend warm, dry and stylish, with this winter Dog's Walking Coat. Three-session course, each 3 hours long. AGE MINIMUM: 16 years All minors must be accompanied by an adult. PRICE INCLUDES: Use of Birch sewing machine (or bring your own); materials to create your own pattern; classroom equipment and tools; class instructions SAFETY: Long hair should be tied back. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. Students are advised NOT to wear - shirts that have loose sleeves - necklaces, bracelets or scarves PREREQUISITES: Intro to Sewing & Machines class; or Sewing experience required. STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: One yd of polar fleece fabric for a small to medium-size dog*, 1 spool coordinating or contrasting thread, 1/4 yd of 3/4" Velcro. BRING TO FIRST CLASS: Dog's measurements -- Neck size at base (comfortable fit); Waist (around mid section); Length (neck to tail) * Contact instructor before class with dog's measurements if your dog is larger than medium to get guidance on how much material to bring. SIGNUPS: All students are to signup for classes/courses on the website; your place in a class or course is not guaranteed until you have paid online. Signups close one day before first session. PAYMENT POLICY: - Payment is due in full at the time of booking to guarantee your spot in any class. - Be sure to check the class description for any requirements, such as minimum age, prerequisites, and/or supplies that you need to bring with you to class. - Sign-ups close one calendar day prior to class to allow for instructor preparations, possible cancellation, etc. CANCELLATION/RE-SCHEDULE POLICY: - If a student cancels, Birch must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the class in order to give a full refund. If less than 24 hours, 50% will be refunded. If a student has an emergency cancellation and Birch is informed ASAP prior to class, student will receive a full credit towards a future class if some proof can be provided. - If the class is cancelled due to not enough sign-ups or an instructor emergency, students will be advised by phone or text ASAP, and all will receive a full refund. - No-call, no-shows for classes will not receive a refund OR credit. MISSING A SESSION OF A MULTI-SESSION CLASS: - If a class takes place over 2 or more sessions, it can be difficult to keep up with your project if you miss a session. Reach out to your instructor to see if there is an opportunity to join another class for the missed part, or if you can get assistance at an “Open Studio” time.
