Service Description
PLEASE NOTE: This is a two-session course. PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP HERE ON THIS SESSION; you will be added to the second date also. Sessions will take place on Saturdays, October 19th and 26th, 10 am - 12 pm. OVERVIEW: The basics of collage art in past and contemporary culture will be examined, along with instruction, technique and creativity in practice. Students will come away with an understanding of basic techniques of creating analog collage, and in turn will create an original piece of their own. This is a two-session class. AGE MINIMUM: 18 years PRICE INCLUDES: Paper; use of some materials including scissors, glue, Mod Podge, assorted magazines and other materials. SAFETY: There will be use of scissors and exacto knives. Caution should be taken. STUDENTS SHOULD BRING: Nothing required.

PAYMENT POLICY: - Payment is due in full at the time of booking to guarantee your spot in any class. - Be sure to check the class description for any requirements, such as minimum age, prerequisites, and/or supplies that you need to bring with you to class. - Sign-ups close one calendar day prior to class to allow for instructor preparations, possible cancellation, etc. CANCELLATION/RE-SCHEDULE POLICY: - If a student cancels, Birch must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the class in order to give a full refund. If less than 24 hours, 50% will be refunded. If a student has an emergency cancellation and Birch is informed ASAP prior to class, student will receive a full credit towards a future class if some proof can be provided. - If the class is cancelled due to not enough sign-ups or an instructor emergency, students will be advised by phone or text ASAP, and all will receive a full refund. - No-call, no-shows for classes will not receive a refund OR credit. MISSING A SESSION OF A MULTI-SESSION CLASS: - If a class takes place over 2 or more sessions, it can be difficult to keep up with your project if you miss a session. Reach out to your instructor to see if there is an opportunity to join another class for the missed part, or if you can get assistance at an “Open Studio” time.
